In this beginning of July, the Hermione association launches the manufacture of the Hermione's sail. The market was entrusted to a grouping of three companies: two of them are from Charente-Maritime and the third from Vendée.

The operation relates to the manufacture of 18 sails in flax, on the whole they are 2131 square meters of sails, which will be implemented. The veils consist of bands of fabric called widths, assembliled with the machine. On the other hand, the completions are carried out manually.

This summer, we aim to carry out two sails: the sail of Artimon and the Civadière. You will be able to observe Anne Renault, of the workshop sail making and work at the completion of these two sails 5 days per week in the workshops of the Hermione' shipyard.

Subject to the installation of the sails on rigging, the program considered is the following:

- From April to July 2012: Installation of the sails on dock.

- September and October 2012: Test at sea under sails.
