On Tuesday, March 2nd, 2004, the construction site of the Hermione saw the signature of a new contract of the “3a” phase between the Association Hermione-La Fayette and the Asselin company, for the continuation of the work on the skeleton of the Hermione. This third phase will spread out over 19 months, for a total budget of 2,2 million euros. Various important tasks will thus be carried out: “vaigrage” (thick boards inside the hull), planing of the leases (the beams which support decks), manufacturing of the épontilles (reinforcement parts in the hold and between decks)... It was Benedict Donnelly, the Président of the Association, who proceeded to the signature with François Asselin, the CEO of the Asselin company. For the occasion, Benedict Donnelly was accompanied with several administrators of the Association: Raymond Labbé, Emmanuel de Fontainieu, Jean-Louis Frot, Jean-François Fountaine…
