3 million visitors: exceptional popular success for the Hermione's shipyard.

The shipyard of the Hermione, which took along La Fayette to America in 1780, received its 3 millionth visitor. A symbolic threshold, which testifies the popular success of the shipyard, engaged in 1997, which has acommodated over 10 years 250.000 visitors per year.

The name of the three millionth visitor of the Hermione's shipyard was revealed Thursday July 22 around 3.30 pm. It is Sir Florent Aubert, coming from Bazancourt (51110) in the Marne, in holidays in Oléron, with his family (his wife and their 2 girls).

They received gifts, books of the Hermione, "a true" pulley of Hermione, as well as a piece of sail given by Anne Renault the sail maker, and finally, the recording of their name which will be reproduced on the sail of Hermione, within the framework of the operation "your name for the Hermione" which is proposed at this time to the visitors on the shipyard.
